FAQ

Fair questions, straight answers.

No — and it doesn’t pretend to be. A coach diagnoses your swing; ASCND organizes everything between lessons: what to practice, how hard, and whether it’s sticking. If you have a coach, their input feeds the engine, and Premium’s coach packs hand them a summary of your last three weeks. Coach and engine make each other better.
No. There’s no rangefinder, no course maps, no shot-by-shot tracking, no handicap socializing. Rounds in ASCND exist for one reason: to audit your practice. You log what happened, ASCND connects it back to what you trained, and your next session adjusts.
It’s for any golfer who practices — or wants to start practicing like it counts. The diagnostics meet you where you are, and difficulty is gated on readiness, so a 25-handicap and an 8-handicap get genuinely different plans. If you’ve never held a club, take a first lesson; ASCND will organize everything after it.
The full practice engine: diagnose your game, get today’s recommendation with the reason attached, and run complete sessions with targets and drill feedback. The one honest limit — free starts fresh every visit. Nothing is kept between launches.
Memory. Your plan, sessions, rounds, trends, and settings are kept across every launch, so improvement compounds instead of resetting. Premium also includes the full drill library, warm-ups, and coach packs. $49.99/yr (about $4.17/mo) or $6.99/mo — no trial games, no lifetime tricks. If you lapse, your record stays readable; you just stop adding to it.
On your phone — nowhere else. ASCND is local-first: your practice record isn’t sitting on a server being mined. Premium pays for continuity of your record, not for access to your data.
Drills were never the bottleneck — the internet has thousands. What YouTube can’t do is pick the right drill for your game today, size it to your minutes, set a target that defines “done,” read the result against your trend, and adjust tomorrow accordingly. A drill without selection, dosage, and feedback is just content.
It reads four streams of evidence: your diagnostics (where misses go), your session results (what’s trending), your rounds (what transfers to the course), and your confidence checks (what you actually trust). The engine is deliberately skeptical — it never overreacts to one good or bad day, advances difficulty only when you’re ready, and explains every recommendation in terms of your own evidence.

Still curious? Good — so is the engine.
